Reading with room4

Hi  this is Isabelle at Vardon School. We have buddy reading with younger children  in the Juniors. Our buddy class is room 4. Sometimes we get to do fun things like tell the young children  what to do and sort of  be  their teacher. This is me reading a Bee story with my buddy.

kite flying

In room8 we read a story about a Peasant Prince.

After the story the teacher thought that it would be a good idea for the kids to make a kite.  Li Cunxin was from China.  In the story he had a kite and he had three wishes on it and one of his wishes where
to have a less poor family. Below is a picture of my Chinese kite with my three wishes on it.

What does culture mean?

My culture means everthing to me. What I mean is culture means Family  and spending time with the people you LOVE, like your mum and your brothers and sisters. It is the way you spend time  together  and the way you celebrate things. It is the colour of your skin and the flag of your country.

Term 2 Reflection

The best thing in term 2 was the... TRASHION
SHOW because it was challenge for everyone espscially the fluo group  because  we had to wait
until the end before we could go on. The thing that I found a challenge was being in a high maths group so I got to go into a different one.

Making garments

Room 8 and room 4 made some gaments. They used newspaper. They then showed off their garments. It looked amazing but I wasn't there as I was at Arbor day. To make a garment you need it tclothes to be eye catching and safe to wear and multi coloured.

Museum hat making.

Hi there, my name is Isabelle and today I will be talking to you about costume  making.
Costume making is very hard because you first have to have an idea. Then you have
to draw it. Next you have to make it out of paper and see if you like it. Then get the materials and make it. Sounds hard doesn't it.

Yummy Marmite

Did you know that Marmite  was first made in England and my mum comes from England? She loves eating it.

When we are at Pak .n.Save she sometimes looks at the English shelves to see what new products there are. Marmite is the best to me. I love it so much I want to eat it ever single day. Yum Yum. Is it in my sandwich today?

highlight

My highlight this term was camp because I was sleeping out without my mum. It wasn't the same without my mum,  but my mum did come at night.  She said good night and then she went. In the morning she came to see me and Jacob but mostly me. I was so scared. I'm glad it's over now.
